COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Answers Systems combines foodservice industry experience and technology expertise to create trade-promotion management solutions for manufacturers, operators, and distributors serving Foodservice and other Away-From-Home food channels. Through full-service contract management and marketing services, Answers Systems processes payments of multi-unit allowances, operator rebates, bids, POS, warehousing and fulfillment and other various services. With over 100 full-time employees, Answers Systems has become the recognized authority in data services for the industry.

Milestones

May 1986: Answers Systems Inc. was founded by current president, Bud Hilton. Answers Systems first office, in Clearwater, Florida, was less than 800 square feet, with off-site rented warehouse facilities.

April 1997: Answers Systems launched the first custom Contract and Trade-Spend management application for Lipton Foods, resulting in immediate and long-term cost savings and a newly created ability for Lipton to manage their enterprise foodservice business.

May 1998: Answers Systems President, Bud Hilton, received the industry’s Sparkplug award from the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) for his work in establishing and teaching foodservice curriculum at the University of Notre Dame.

July 1998: Answers Systems introduced ValuTrak® tool for chain account operators which tracks and reports distributor unit shipments and analyzes purchases by manufacturer, distributor and SKU level. ValuTrak also reviews and reports any price variances in relation to operators’ original contacted Agreements.

September 2000: Answers Systems launched “ASI Reporting” – an online tool for allowing unparalleled access to customers’ data.  This reporting device and application module brings all of the customers’ on-line online business tools into one secure web portal.

February 2001: Answers Systems launched the next generation custom Contract Management Application with Kraft Foods. This device marked a major benchmark in on-line, web-enabled contract management. Kraft begins processing their entire contract volume immediately via this application.

May 2001: Answers Systems was awarded Tampa Bay’s “Family Friendly Award” for offering various family oriented programs and its commitment to its employees.

September 2001: Answers moved from Clearwater, Florida, to its new modern location 8 miles down the road in Oldsmar. With 27,000 square feet of office space and 67,000 square feet of warehouse, the new facility also includes a state-of-the-art fitness facility for all employees to use.

September 2002: Answers Systems released the first version of it’s flagship trade-spend management application, ContractPro®.

July 2007: Answers released the totally-rewritten ContractPro v3.0 to include an even more user-friendly interface and advanced data management and reporting features.

January 2008: Answers Systems achieves SAS 70 Type II certification.
